Combat weight in the New Year

Tomorrow is New Years Eve! Ah the new year, for most a time to start fresh and start new years resolutions. For most or at least a large percentage, weight loss or health and fitness will be at the top of resolutions. I guess for me I don't have much of a resolution. I just want be better in all areas of my life than the year before. I don't need leaps and bounds although I won't complain if it turns out that way. I'll still be happy with small improvements.

For those that are reading and are fitness revolution minded, I have a new work out to start the new year.

The new workout is Les Mills Combat. Its the newest in the ever expanding line of workouts by Beachbody.  Combat is a 60 day workout based on mixed martial arts and uses explosive fat-burning, strength-building moves from 6 major martial arts disciplines. The disciplines include; karate, tae kwon do, boxing, muay thai/kickboxing, capoeira, and jiu-jitsu. Combat comes in three different package options. Base kit which is just the basic DVDs, Supreme Warrior Package which comes with DVDs and training gloves, and Ultimate Warrior Package which comes with DVDs, gloves, and four additional workouts. Also if you order through a coach (me), you get a bonus DVD (Combat 30: Live). This program should be lots of fun for those that really liked kenpo in P90X or capoeira from Rev Abs. Combat is also for those at a beginning fitness level looking to enjoy fun, energetic moves that ramp up their cardio, burn off their fat, and lean out their muscles.

I have been looking forward to starting this program. I will be doing the Ultimate Warrior schedule. I am just coming off two rounds of Body Beast and am looking forward to getting back into the extra cardio. After the Ultimate Reset I went straight into Body Beast and gained fifteen pounds. The extra size is nice but I know my cardio and flexibility took a small hit. Tomorrow starts my new year off and its time to lean out. I'll keep you posted and as they say on the videos "Stay with the Fight".
